A very big, 1524 x 915mm / 5 x 3’ paper sheet with a very clever grid with 6mm / 1” spacing. The lines on the grid sheet alternate through four colours each way so for instance all red lines are 25mm apart.
Lay the open sheet on a big worktable and place the frames and objects you plan to hang in positions you choose. Take time to align them as you wish, using the grid lines to check gaps and levels. Then draw round each one and turn them all over.
Using your experience, check the hangers on the frames and decide where the screws or hooks should go. Mark those points on the grid sheet.
Position the sheet carefully on the wall and tape it in place - painters’ masking tape works well. Drill or nail through grid sheet
A smaller piece of the grid sheet can be used to help lay out multiple items in a 3D framing project.
The Wall Hanging Template will save you lots
of time compared to normal methods and with care can be re-used. Made in USA and US Patent applied for.
