The blade is located right inside the handle, with a narrow slot allowing the paper and film to reach the blade. Uses old fashioned type flat razor blades, so you get four edges from each.

Polymer Cutting Mats
The smooth grey surface allows fine blades to penetrate without blunting. It is ideal when trimming prints. Small cuts almost disappear.
Deep gouges will NOT heal up. It is designed for light use only and is not suitable as a base on which to cut hardboard with a utility type knife.
Tip - if you want a surface for cutting hardboard, use a piece of old carpet.
Alignment grid on one side - but don’t rely on the accuracy of the scales. Colour of print and mat may vary.
