Quality Levels
Mu Level 1 Museum Mountboard
100% cotton fibre, containing no post consumer waste (i.e. no re-cycled fibre). Naturally acid free. Buffered with calcium carbonate.
Co Level 2 Conservation Mountboard
Containing no post-consumer waste (recycled pulp). Chemically purified to remove almost all the lignin and is buffered with calcium carbonate.
Wc Level 3 White Core Mountboard - (was 3A)
Wood pulp chemically purified to remove the lignin, buffered with calcium carbonate to a pH of 7 to 9.5. The core starts white and stays white
Cc Level 4 Cream Core Mountboard - (was 3B)
Un-treated wood pulp buffered with calcium carbonate to a pH range of 7 to 9.5. Contains lignin which will cause the core to turn brown.
3 and 4 are quality sub-categories applied by LION and are not FATG approved. Currently they are both in the ‘Standard’ level 3.
Colourmount, Daler and Value are all members
of the international FATG Mountboard Group. The manufacturers work with the Guild to maintain and improve mountboard standards and to create wider awareness of those standards amongst framers and consumers.

Mountboard Display Unit
Double sided. Grey vinyl panels, each with 20 clear open-top pockets.
Mountboard chevrons of any size are displayed with the bevel up, so cores can be easily seen. Remove and replace samples very easily.
Panels are available singly for wall display.
