VuPlex® was originally developed for use on plastic airliner windscreens. Use it for fast and effective maintenance of acrylic, styrene, polyester and similar surfaces.
Some other cleaners use abrasives to remove
dirt and scratches, but this introduces more fine scratches to the surface.
VuPlex® works in the opposite way. It removes dirt and grime in the surface and adds a fine layer of polymer which fills in small scratches to leave the surface protected and with a lustrous finish.
If VuPlex is applied when acrylic or styrene surfaces are new, it helps protect them from premature aging. If the surface is already damaged with fine scratches and in-ground grime, VuPlex restores the surface and clarity, leaving a polished & protected finish.
• Ingredients are safe, with no abrasive - they won’t damage plastic surfaces.
• A very fine coating of polymer is applied which gives protection from micro scratching, surface dust and atmospheric conditions.
• Static build-up on the acrylic surface attracts fine dust which can be abrasive. This is controlled by an anti-static agent.
• VuPlex quickly polishes to a high shine and keeps plastic looking ‘as new’. Use microfibre cloth, p.74 for best results.
• Comes in a spray can, so always ready for use and cannot spill. Shake before use.

KC Float Glass Clear - 2mm
Due to its widespread availability and low cost, soda lime glass is still the most commonly
used for picture framing. Clear glass has light transmission ~90% and absorption of ~2%. Allows over 90% of light transmission and has less than 8% light reflection. Blocks up to 45% of UV light.

Shatter-resistant styrene sheets, Protected on both sides with a peel-off polythene film. Styrene is
the popular name for vinyl benzene UV stabilizer in the styrene absorbs many of the damaging
UV wavelengths in natural and artificial light. In absorbing the UV, the panels themselves may eventually discolour. This styrene is not optical grade. The non-glare has a very slightly pebbly surface which does not seem to show smears as much as the clear. Working with plastic sheeting requires some care - the build up of static charge can attract dust, which becomes tiresome. Consider trying STATIC WISK products, p.40. To size styrene - score it heavily, using a knife, a tool or a wall cutter. Place it with the scored line up, just over the edge of the workbench and apply pressure - it will break with a bang.
