Burnishing Bone
A polished piece of bone with an oval flat profile, approx. 140mm / 51⁄2” long, 19mm wide. Useful for smoothing the slightly raised ‘lip’ you get when cutting a bevel mount opening from the back of the board.
A handy tool for creasing, burnishing and smoothing around the workshop.

MT Tapes, which stands rather confusingly for masking tape, are tapes printed with a wide variety of stylised, unusual and decorative patterns and colours.
They are very flexible, making the wider ones ideal for wrapping bevels. The narrower patterns are easy to apply to the face of a mount, to offer a modern take on traditional wash and line effects. To ensure long term adhesion, burnish with the back of a spoon after application. All rolls are 10m.
