Flat work table laid out with Magik Wand cordless shrink wrap system.
The unique Magik Wand sealing arm is not connected to the base unit, so you can lift and manoeuvre it any way you need. The steel base Heater Unit has a mains voltage heating element inside. When the Magik Wand is placed into it, it heats up. Wand stays hot more than long enough to seal a pack both ways, before it is returned to the base unit, where it quickly re-heats. It allows you to apply clear shrink-film protection to frames, mounted prints and posters on board.
Magik Wand base heater unit takes 610mm / 24” and 785mm / 31” Wands. The steel Film Roller Dispenser, with separator bar is 510mm wide, and takes film up to 762mm / 30” . Heat gun, 2kW requiredMagik

Clear Wrapping Film 40μ Polyprop - conservation

High-clarity, acid free
polypropylene film, 40μ thick.
It is totally stable and meets most conservation requirements, unlike PVC.
This clear film allows you to wrap and protect mounted prints and similar to give a very nice finish, without equipment. It is resistant to moisture, but not to heat.
Occasional roll marks in film. 38mm core..

Print Bags Clear Polyprop 40μ
Clear polyester on the roll. Semi-stiff, 95μ. Cut with mountcutter, scissors or sharp knife. Archival quality with lots of uses in quality framing, including 3D framing. Cut into strips to hold items in frames. Often known as Melinex Use as overlays or form into storage envelopes using 3M 415 tape or Lion polyester tape, p.116.

Optically clear film pockets, ideal for archival storage. The polyester pockets are welded on three sides, with the short side open. Totally inert, will never crack or yellow. Made of 50¬μ or 75¬μ film, so are slightly stiff. All sizes approx.
Clear bags made from 40μ archivally safe polypropylene. Open at one short end and with adhesive flap.Ideal for display of mounted and loose prints. Slide in a piece of mountboard cut to fit and they become good browser pockets.
Bags are folded for storage and transit - some creases may remain. Sizes are ±2mm.
