What is a Picture Hanging System?
A Picture Hanging System allows you to hang and change the art on walls without damaging them. Ideal for galleries, museums, offices, showrooms and homes.

Newly Hanging Rail packs
Newly hanging rail packs contain all parts needed for the rail. Choose a rail style, either R10, p.166, or the R20, p.167. You will also need tools.
Rail packs contain:
• Hanging rail, 2m x 1 White, R10 or R20, as part number
• Rail clips, screws and plugs x 6
• Rail end caps x 2
• Rail corner cap x 1
Suspender packs contain: Twister perlon suspender, 1.5m x 1 Hook x 1, H50 or H100

Picture hanging systems have rails fixed to
the wall with suspenders hanging from them. Adjustable hooks on the suspenders carry the art.
Best to use two suspenders per frame
Hanging Rails
• Order in 2m or 3m single lengths. Also in Starter Kits, left, with everything needed for a basic installation.
• Easily cut to length and joined with clips.
• Straight and corner joiners and end caps, are
available.
• Most rails are fitted to the wall using fixing
buttons or clips spaced approx. 300mm apart.
• Choose the right screw and plug for your wall. Suspenders and rods
• Look for the numbers in circles to guide you to
those compatible with the rail you choose.
Hooks
• Picture hooks slide onto the perlon or wire suspenders, or rods. Some are self-locking, others lock with a screw.
Which system is right for me?
Compare them and consider:
• The loading you need the rails to take.
• Your budget.
• How discreet do you want the system to be?

Suspenders are more discreet than rods, but can require a stepladder to change.
Gallery rods are more obvious but are rigid and easier to move and change from ground level. How confident is the installer?.
Hooks - for ease of use, choose self-locking types. Screw-locking types are cheaper. Security - some hooks have a security
clip to deter theft.

How much do I order?
Measure up carefully:
• Sketch out the wall areas. Measure the sections where you want to fit rail.
• Work out the number and lengths you’ll need. You don’t need to take rails right into the corners.
• Count up the number of straight and corner joiners and end caps you’ll need.
• If the rail uses fixing clips or buttons, order enough for one app. every 300mm.
• Unless you know how many pictures you’re going to want to hang, we suggest you order approx.
2 suspenders and 4 hooks per metre.
Kit for neatly trimming
hanging rails to length
Kit to help cut neat square ends on hanging rails. Moulded mitre box with 900 guides for the 150mm saw. It can take rail widths up to 35mm. Cut a strip of MDF to fit inside to absorb blade wear.
The clamp helps hold the mitre box and rail to a work top.
