KWIK-WIRE System
Plastic covered semi-stiff wire, with neat crimp ferrules. Adds a quality finish to your framing.
Pass wire through and back through the ferrule and crimp tight. It will be more secure if you lay one wire at an angle over another.
Picture weight should be no more than half of figure shown.
Typical fits: The i/d of the ferrule should be approx 2.5 times the o/d of the wire.
Crimper–Pro Tool for Ferrules
Substantial tool to make the task of crimping wire on a frame easy and quick. Will Sleigh, a very experienced framer on our sales team test-drove these and had never used wire with ferrules before. He was amazed how quick it was and what a nice finish the crimped wire gave to the back of a frame.
Crimper-Pro is 275mm long, with double-drive linkage to multiply the force. Ratchet mechanism holds it closed at each stage, for ease of use yet with a squeeze it opens. Also holds it closed when not in use. Release button in case they lock on
Nose pieces are made of forged and machined steel. The first two slots on the nose are those that you will use most often. Does not cut wire.
Using Stainless Wire
High quality wires laboratory tested by Scientifics Ltd for tensile strength.
Always use a wire with a tensile strength at least double that of the weight of the picture. Weights given below are Maximum Picture Weights.
Stainless steel will not corrode in salt laden or damp environments. Ideal for use in coastal areas, but stainless wire is always safe, anywhere.
LION Stainless picture wires are of excellent quality and offer great value for money. The soft wire is specially tempered to be easy to bend, wrap and tie. We suggest you always knot and wrap wire as the diagram.

For speed and security, we suggest the Super Crimper. Brass. Sizes are Inside Diameter - i/d. Ferrules are approx. 10mm long.
