Tough metal handle with soft rubber ergonomic grips. New blades are stored in handle. To quickly and safely change blade, carefully hold blade between fingers and pull while pressing release button. Pull blade button fully back to automatically load new blade. 3 blades included. Store used blades in handle or put in a sharps tub.

Metric measuring scales and alignment grids are engraved on the underside, which eliminates any problem with parallax.
One long edge is bevelled and the other has a stainless steel strip inset. You can safely use that edge with a knife or scalpel. The strip is rebated to minimise bleeding when ruling lines.
