Gloss film which conforms to a hot surface texture pressed against it. Using a foam blanket in the press will deliver a lustre finish.
It shapes to the texture of canvas, it is moisture proof and it will not crack. The very best protective coating for inkjet prints on canvas.

Heavyweight natural cotton canvas, coated with heat activated heat seal adhesive.
Originally made for traditional canvas bonding, where the stripped photo emulsion is bonded to the coated canvas in a heated press. Now used with certain types of inkjet prints.
Variations on the process can be used to mount litho prints to give an art canvas effect.

For heated flat bed and vacuum presses. Many boards are made up of pulp, which has tiny hills. The pressure of a hard platen may shine the peaks. Foam helps even out the pressure and minimise this effect. Foam also presses laminating film into the weave of canvas to enhance canvas texture.
5mm thick, best for work in vacuum presses, where its lower volume will not slow cycle.
